ちぎり餅は、切るときに手でちぎるので縁起が良いそうです。
雛祭りの時には雛あられや、金平糖等を盛ります。
春には旬の山菜等を盛り付けしたり、珍味入れとしてご使用いただけます。
小さい器ですが、どっしり重い割れにくい器です。

Chigiri mochi is considered auspicious because it is torn by hand when cut.
During Hina Matsuri, it is used to serve hina arare (rice crackers) and konpeito (sugar candy).
In spring, it can be used to serve seasonal wild vegetables or as a condiment dish.
Although it is a small bowl, it is heavy and durable.
